Description
Pixelated Strata is an academic and artistic inquiry centred on the usage of icons. Pixelated Strata's essence discards many visual preconceptions about the arbitrary language of learned icons.
This autonomous interface relinquishes maker control over colour, form, and juxtaposition. Data about the users usage and input is interpreted and presented as an abstracted audio visual form "geometry of usage". This has been likened to "emotional Icons", because of the interface's
anthropomorphic reactivity.
Bio:
Justin buck is a Digital artist currently designing new interactive
playthings for
mobile phones. Previously graduated from the University of
Hertfordshire UK reading a specialised course entitled "Software
Systems for the Arts and Media" He aspires to explore interactive
possibilities between humans and the informational spaces they create.
