The ELO Members listserv is a low-traffic list used primarily for announcements and news relevant to electronic/digital literature. If you would like to subscribe, contact the list administrator Stephanie McPherson.  stephanie.m.mcpherson [at] gmail.com

Submit Announcements for the ELO Listserv

[The ELO is currently changing its Listserv policy. Contact Mark Marino with questions.]

ELO welcomes to our listserv calls for papers and art as well as announcements of works and venues. However, in order to prevent our discussion hall from becoming an echo chamber for standard-issue press releases, we ask that all submissions be personal but professional messages written specifically for ELO.

Before your submit, please review these guidelines:

Please keep your posts to a few sentences.
Write your messages with our membership in mind (e-lit artists and critics).
Refer to specific ELO members (where relevant).
Refer to specific ELO venues or project (where relevant), such as conferences, publications, initiatives.

Announcements of Works:
Please tell us: The title of the work, the creators, where it is published online, date of publication, and a 1-2 line synopsis. You may provide images and links to the work and a longer announcement.

Calls for Papers/Works:
Primarily our readers need to know whether you are calling for critical or artistic works.

Put name of call and dates in the subject line:
CFP: Visionary Landscapes (12/16/07, 5/29-6/1/08)

Describe the theme or requirements (briefly), specifying the types of content you are soliciting. Include all relevant information about the venue. Give all contact information and a link to the full call and/or website issuing the call.

Please avoid:

Long and languorous artist statements
Laundry lists of provocative questions
Lauding adjectives: “preeminent” “premier” “perspicacious”

We all read and write such announcements, just not on the ELO list.
