Sue Thomas, a novelist and Artistic Director of the trAce Online Writing Centre, will be speaking at Open Space in Victoria, BC on October 27. The talk outlines key issues which arose from Mapping the Transition from Page to Screen, a one-year research project for writers transitioning to writing online.

New HCS Course at UCLA
A new class titled “Physical Computing, Algorithmic and Reactive Art” is being offered at UCLA. The class critiques design and art in artificial life, multiple agency, evolutionary computing, reactive sculptures and robotics, intelligent environments, and algorithmic art.
